My Practice
I am an experienced clinician in practice for over thirty seven years- and counting! I received my MSW from Loyola University of Chicago in 1980. During the first part of my career I specialized in treating adolescents and families. For the past two decades I have been seeing individual adults, couples, and families who are struggling with issues related to mental health, self esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life stage transitions.
Providing quality therapy for you means flexibly using my professional knowledge, along with the wisdom of my experience, to address your unique needs. It is important to me that my therapeutic model fits you, not a specific theory, My style has been described as being compassionately direct, down to earth, and very warm . Therapy with me can be defined as being filled with respect, care, humor, and practicality.
Disappointment, confusion, and loss are guaranteed in life. Clarity, healing, and resilience are the gifts of therapy. I can help.
